About Our Club

The Cayuga Dressage and Combined Training Club (CDCT) is a group of horse lovers dedicated to the two disciplines in its name, dressage and combined training. Based in Ithaca, New York, CDCT draws members from the counties surrounding Cayuga Lake and from Elmira, Binghamton, and other parts of the Southern Tier. The club offers opportunities for education, competition and social life. You do not need to own a horse to become a member.

Club business and club functions are managed through our board of directors and its committees. All members are invited to all meetings of its directors.

CDCTC is a Group Member Organization (GMO) of the United States Dressage Federation (USDF). If you join CDCTC, you are automatically a Group Member of USDF.

We invite you to explore our web site and to get in touch with any of the officials listed here who might prove helpful to you.

Saving Trees Is a Wonderful Thing: Get Your Newsletters by E-mail!!
We want to use less paper and, in turn, save more trees. In order to achieve this, request that your monthly newsletter be emailed to you, instead of traditional mail.

Every year enough paper is thrown away to make a 12-foot wall from New York to California. Global paper use has grown more than sixfold since 1950. One-fifth of all wood harvested in the world ends up in paper. In the United States, paper accounts for nearly 40 percent of all municipal solid waste.

Using less paper is a great way to help save our ancient forests. You can save a tree for every four feet of paper you don’t use.

Those who still want to get a paper newsletter in the mail are free to do so. If you want to save a tree and save CDCT some printing and postage costs, opt to not receive your newsletter in the mail but instead read it each month when Mary Beth sends it to everyone on her e-mail list. If you are not getting e-mails about club news from Mary Beth, send her a message and tell her you’d like to be added to the list. E-mail Sandy Su if you prefer to only get the e-mailed newsletter.
The trees and the CDCT budget will thank you.
