CDCT Annual Awards Banquet

The Awards Banquet, our annual big party, was at the East Shore Café, and as usual, everyone had a lot of fun and good food and drink. Carol Morris, our club president, memorably summed it up in anticipation of the festivities:

4:00: Enter at A: Cash Bar. Halt at Appetizer tray, courtesy of CDCT.

4:30: Transition to Annual Meeting and Election of Officers. All Club members present may vote for Officers and Board members, and there will be an opportunity to nominate from the floor, if you have had too much to drink to do it from your seat. Final discussion on the issue of fundraising. The ballot box will be available through dinner for CDCT members to vote.

5:30: Lengthen stride to table for dinner

Between dinner and dessert: Free rein to digest and announcement of vote count

Lengthen belt to make room for dessert

Halt at A for Awards.

New (and some returning) club officers and board members were voted upon, and members voted to have our Recognized Show in June 2010 benefit ReRun, an organization that retrains off-the-track Thoroughbreds and finds them new homes for a second career.
